It's been a hard, busy, tiring, rewarding, brainstorming week. It seems to have had I don't know how many days.
I've learnt so much and discussed so many ideas I think it will take my brain some more days to process everything.
In the end, rubrics are incredibly useful and rubistar is a must! Webquests are great ideas but I didn't manage to stretch my time into being able to create one though I have it all in my head (in fact I tried to create one two years ago but I'd have to look for it in my CD's and that would be cheating and I created it in a test-software so it'd probably not work well). Anyway, I'll do it even if I don't get extra credit.
Delicious.com has become one of my most used tools as now I save every link there whenever I'm surfing the web and find anything interesting on any topic (even if I'm only helping my godson with his oral presentation about nuclear energy).
PBL was also an issue in the congress and it is a way of structuring learning-by-doing as kids learn what they do, not what we tell them and PBL creates very good learning habits they can use for learning anything (ask a question, get informed, select facts, find a solution).
So, I wish all my weeks were as productive as this one!
Hi Sara
ReplyDeleteIam share the same feeling with you, especially in this week I learned how to create a project and how it is valued, and this is what I needed already, because the system in my school depends on the establishment of projects and viewed by students, but the idea is not clear enough for students and teachers, so you know these sites came in the right time for me and my students.

Hi Sara
ReplyDeleteI agree with Zainab, I had never had the chance to work with projects before, but now I am learning and little by little it is becoming part of my daily activiy as a teacher.
Hi Sara
ReplyDeleteFor the extra credit webquest, you can add that still if you like. Just let me know when you finish it by email to be sure I mark it.
I know we cover things at a lightening pace in here. Still, keep a record of the resources for your future reference. I hear from past participants that they draw on things from this course long after it has ended.
Robert
Hi Sara,
ReplyDeleteAs we can realize we can see how the time flies, and every single day we learn and acquire some new knowledge and thank to all the ones who are cooperating for improving ourselves and specially to Robert, such a nice leader who has been sharing his experiences with us.
In our lives we have to take advantage of everything and specially for us as professors.
Let's take the maximum benefits of this pretty nice online course..
