There is nothing more to say, actually. It was a technology stress week. Even today I had to rush from a family party (which left my husband a bit unhappy) to be able to finally post my comments as I was worried that I might no be able to do it. I usually work well under stress but I don't like it - it makes me use too much energy. I prefer doing things in a planned way, taking my time and this week it was impossible.
I had to go back to school, deal with my students, prepare their lessons and put up with internet boycutt which was all making me get really irritated. In the end, I managed to get everything done but I felt I was running against the clock all the time.
This coming week is going to be nothing easier as I'll be travelling to Lisbon on friday for some workshops. Besides lessons and meetings and the online course I'll have the trips and the extra work in the workshops. I feel I'm just too busy all the time but I also fell fulfilled.
I am happy to hear that despite all the contraints you were able to post what was required for the e course.
ReplyDeleteI myself, am having a busy week because I had to post grades using a new server(23 sections in all). I also had to write my lesson plans which were due this week (in my school)
So, I understand perfectly how you feel. I only want to tell you not to get burned out. Take a big breath and relax. Last week I went to take a big breath and relax at the beach with my girlfriend. It was something I neeeded to do (in order to cope with everything)
so, relax, take it easy and keep up the good work,

Hi, Sara,
ReplyDeleteI hope to find you refresh a bit, even though you have a "super" week. Reading your reflection makes me feel understood even though I did not spill out my life with others. I like your blog. It is fresh!

Wow! Yalin,
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise to me that you are going to attend a workshop out of our country. Definitely, I believe that it is not easy, as well as I was in American at the start week. What just I can say is ‘try to keep going and try your best’, I think I am a person which know your teaching context and your situation very well because we are in a same country.
Best Regards,
Rachel
Rachel, this is Sarah's blog, not Yaling's!
ReplyDeleteAnd Lisbon is obviouly in my country. it's the capital.
